A Personalized Story Book From Your Child's Photo
Upload one photo, and the hero of the story looks like your child on every page: the same curls, the same freckles, the same gap-toothed grin. Kids recognize themselves instantly, and that's when the magic starts.

Why a hero who looks like your child matters
Young children are thrilled to see themselves in a story. A name on the page is fun; a hero with their own face, hair and glasses is something else. They point, they laugh, they ask you to read it again. And when the story is about something hard, like the dark or a first day at preschool, seeing "themselves" being brave makes it easier to imagine doing it for real.
How it works
- Upload a photo. A clear photo of your child's face works best.
- Add a few details. Name, age, and anything the photo doesn't show, like a favorite outfit.
- Choose the story. An adventure, a calm bedtime story, a holiday tale or a story with a lesson.
- See it for free. The cover, the full text and the first illustrated pages are free to create.
- Keep it if you love it. Pay once. No subscription.
The illustrations are a drawn version of your child, in a storybook style, not a pasted-in photo.
Tips for the best photo
- Good light. Daylight from a window is ideal.
- Face clearly visible. Looking toward the camera, no sunglasses or big hats covering the face.
- One child in the frame. If there are other people, crop them out.
- Recent. Kids change fast. A photo from this season shows how they look now.
Prefer not to upload a photo?
That's completely fine. You can describe your child instead: hair color and style, eye color, skin tone, glasses, freckles, a favorite outfit. The hero will be drawn from your description. Some parents prefer this for privacy, and it works well. Our guide on whether AI stories are safe for kids covers privacy tips in more detail.
Add the whole family
In a Big story, you can add up to five family members, friends or pets: a little sister, grandpa, the family dog. It makes a wonderful gift from grandparents or a story to read on Christmas Eve.
Mini or Big?
- Mini story: six illustrated pages, ready in a couple of minutes. Great for tonight's bedtime.
- Big story: about 20 pages, with a page editor and room for up to five family members, friends or pets.
Every story comes with narration, a video version and a PDF, in English, German or Spanish. See more on our personalized story book page.
