What we collect
Your email address (to sign in and send you your stories), the details you enter about your child for the story (name, age, looks, interests), an optional photo, and technical data such as cookies and anonymous visit statistics.
Your child's photo
The photo is resized and stripped of metadata in your browser before upload. It is sent to the image model only if you tick a separate consent box, and it is deleted from our server right after the hero is created. We never use photos for advertising or for training models.
How we use data
Only to create and deliver your stories, to sign you in, to answer your messages and, if you agree, to send you occasional news and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click.
Who processes data
To generate texts, images and narration we use AI providers that act on our instructions. Email is sent through a mail delivery service. Payments, once enabled, are handled by a payment provider; we never see your card details.
Storage and deletion
Stories are kept in your account so you can read them again. Unfinished drafts are deleted after a day. You can ask us to delete your account and all your stories at any time.
Your rights
You can request access to your data, correct it, delete it or object to its processing. Write to hello@winktale.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your stories, plus first-party anonymous statistics. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.
